Sensitive refurbishment of the existing Victorian building allowed existing architectural features to be retained in the surgeries.
The entrance, reception and waiting areas of the former doctors’ surgery were reconfigured to provide full wheelchair access.
The upper floors of the former townhouse were converted to form two flats.
The property is located in the Craigmillar Park Conservation Area.

A doctors’ surgery, in the Craigmillar Park Conservation Area, was converted to form a dental practice in 2008. The practice was subsequently enlarged in 2019 by converting the adjacent townhouse. Two flatted dwellings were also created as part of the development.

A former fishmonger’s shop in Leith was converted to a retail/ workshop premises for Be Seated, a bespoke furniture maker and upholsterer. Structural alterations interlinked the existing spaces and created a retail/ display zone to the front, with workshop and staff facilities to the rear. The shopfront was refurbished, and services upgraded as part of the works
